ADVENTURES

Bush Walking
The bushwalking at Spear Creek is as good as it gets anywhere. You'll safely experience the harsh Flinders Ranges which host an amazing combination of wildlife and flora, from the native flowers to the Euro - the particular species of kangaroo which inhabits the area. The walking trail winds above an occupied nest of a wedge-tailed eagle. Watching these birds of prey, with a wingspan of up to 1.5 metres, is an experience to remember. The trail also passes between "Big Red", an ancient red rock avalanche 350 metres long and white granite cliff faces which are home to our peregrine falcons. Native trees hundreds of years old are also home to many colorful species of parrots. The scars left by Aboriginals removing shields and coolamonds are still visible.

It's a bird watcher's and photographer's paradise. And that famous  Australian  icon, the Kookaburra, will entertain you with their "laughing" which echoes through  the corridors of Spear Creek. For the closest look at some of Australia's intriguing bush life you can interact with the Euros, Kangaroos and  Wombats in the enclosure near the camp site.
Abseiling
Test your courage with our qualified instructors in the deep creek gorge with abseils of 30 and 50 metres. For the experienced there is a 100 metre abseil available.
Off-Road Racing Buggies
A ride with our former Australian National  Champion driver in one of these vehicles is as thrilling as anything can be and remain safe.
Horse Trail Riding
Bring your horse and experience our horse trail which winds to the top of the Flinders giving breath-taking views of Spencer Gulf and the Gawler Ranges to the west and the Willowie Plain to the East. Sleeping in the swag under the stars, your horse nearby and the camp fire glowing is the experience of a lifetime.
Fishing and Swimming
Spear Creek will organise activities tailored for your preferences, from razor fishing and crabbing expeditions to game fishing for Yellowfin Tuna and "Big Red" Snapper. Bring back your catch and we'll cook it for you. Seafood just doesn't come any fresher than this.
Firearms Training/Range Shoots
The station houses fully accredited staff and facilities for firearms training and range shoots. When you use firearms at Spear Creek you'll be using the same facilities used by the South Australian Special Task and Rescue (STAR) Force and security company personnel. Few destinations can boast this level of expertise and equipment

Executive Incentive Travel
For the Executive Incentive Travel Client, that extra-special entertainment can be organised. A private rodeo, five course meal on the back of a road train in the middle of nowhere with nothing but the sunset, and lunch with a view set up on the summit of the Flinders Ranges are just some of the personalised, unique experiences you can have at Spear Creek.
